Description

Sonnenflecke / Sun Spots - 20221028

The seeing is still good today – after 5 days, including the beautiful Partial Solar Eclipse this Tuesday (20221025) A cople of features became more prominent since then, in  particular the biggest single sunspot (AR 13131) on the left side which was occulted by the Moon during the eclipse.

Now it has developped a beautiful and well visible penumbra. Also, the very hot active – and thus almost pure white - spotless regions near the left and right sun disk borders are easier visible now. At full size (100%) even more details can be seen. For example, a couple of very small sun spots spread over the disk and some more subtle meandering hottest plasma features.
